All About Alphonse D’Amato
Alphonse D’Amato is your typical New Yorker, an average person and a really nice guy who is dedicating his life to better serve his community. From his fan’s point of view, D’Amato is the kind of guy who may appear brash, but definitely someone who will be there when you need him.
People have known Alphonse D’Amato to be approachable and helpful. Despite being in a high position, he is not aloof and he listens to people around him. People go to him for the most mundane concerns and he addresses them. In fact, a certain person wrote to him about a gun control bill thinking that it was bad policy. D’Amato received a letter where the writer pointed out that D’Amato is a father of two children and was not some wild eyed gun user who should be supporting this kind of policy. The letter writer further said that D’Amato is seen by the public as a law abiding citizen and a school teacher, so a gun control bill was a bad idea, one that does not fit his image at all. In response, Alphonse D’Amato wrote a letter back to that person thanking him for his support. He stated that he agrees with him and that he promised to defeat the gun bill.
